Tony’s Chocolonely, the one and only, sponsors a future world-changer!

As a long-standing Friend of Nudge, Tony’s Chocolonely has once again decided to contribute to the Nudge Global Impact Challenge this year by sponsoring a wild card! As a social enterprise, Tony’s wants to give this opportunity to a young professional who will make as much impact as possible.

Tony’s vision is 100% slave-free chocolate production, not just for their chocolate, but all chocolate worldwide. Their motto, ‘crazy about chocolate, serious about people’, is a testament to their motivation to tackle child labour and unethical practices in cocoa farming. Tony’s chocolate is a perfect example of sustainable practices in a production process, from the way they treat cocoa farmers, to the packaging of the chocolate, to their end goal of slave-free chocolate becoming the norm. With new headquarters in the United States, Tony’s is now promoting its chocolate – and therefore raising awareness of modern-day slavery in cocoa farms – on a global scale.

Conditions of wild card participation

A wild card candidate is a young professional aged between 23 and 33 who does not have sufficient financial means to take part in the Nudge Global Impact Challenge. By applying for a wild card, you enter a selection process where your participation fee (EUR 3.300,–) for the Nudge Global Impact Challenge will be sponsored. This means you only have to pay for your travel costs, as well as your food and accommodation during the three-day stay in Zeist, The Netherlands (EUR 500,–).
