The Ministry of Defence works for peace, freedom and stability in the Netherlands and abroad on a daily basis. The Ministry of Defence is convinced that everyone deserves to live in freedom and safety, and that is the world they strive for.
Therefore, the theme of this year’s Global Challenge is right up their alley: Climate Change and World Peace. The Netherlands Ministry of Defence believes that this is an important theme for future leaders to address, as the root cause of conflicts and wars can also be found at the effects of climate change.
The Ministry of Defence is convinced that the world needs strong leaders to face 
these challenges, and by participating in the Challenge their two young talents will develop their leadership and sustainability skills. The Challenge will give them the opportunity to connect to other talented young people around the world, to gain the tools needed to make a difference, and to increase their overall impact.
