Kitty van der Heijden, keynote speaker for the Nudge Global Leadership Challenge 2015

Nudge is excited to announce the participation of Kitty van der Heijden as a key note speaker at this year’s Nudge Global Leadership Challenge (20 – 22 November 2015).

Kitty van der Heijden is the Director of the Europe Office at the World Resource Institute, a global research institution. She was the Ambassador for Sustainable Development and Director of the Department for Climate, Energy, Environment and Water in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. During the Rio+20 summit she led the Netherlands delegation and was appointed as the Netherlands representative on the Open Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals.

Her accomplishments in sustainable development were honored several times. In 2013, she was elected as 3rd Best Civil Servant of the Netherlands, and was awarded a national Ribbon of Honor for her efforts to raise public awareness on the challenges and opportunities of a truly sustainable development pathway. In 2014, she was elected as Influencer of the Year among civil servants, and listed as 20th in the top 100 most influential people in the Netherlands dealing with sustainability.

In a 2012 TEDX talk in Haarlem, Kitty shows her passion and knowledge about Sustainable Development.

During the Global Challenge 2015 she will talk about The Sustainable Development Goals. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, interact within the group and get engaged and inspired by Kitty, the expert in this field.
