Dayna Adelman, Challenge alumnus, will inspire this year’s participants as keynote speaker

Dayna is a passionate communications professional, who previously worked as Director of CSR at HEINEKEN USA. She currently oversees crisis and reputation management for HEINEKEN N.V. in Amsterdam. We are thrilled to welcome her back as Dayna was herself a participant at the Nudge Global Challenge 2015 – here’s how she described her experience at the time:
“Over the course of the three days I had the chance to network, collaborate and create with 30 of the brightest individuals I’ve ever met from 19 countries. I learned more about myself – and my purpose – than I ever could have imagined, and I walk away today with a strong sustainability impact plan that will revolutionise how we raise awareness about recycling in the United States.”

This October, Dayna will speak about how important organisational commitment is when it comes to making sustainable changes within a company, specifically addressing the role of young leaders and young energy can play within an organisation to affect change. She strongly believes that it’s the young leaders who are driving the change.

The moment at which Dayna first took a strong interest in sustainability was when visiting the glaciers in Iceland and learning from scientists about the disappearing clean water sources worldwide. She says: “The date was not as far off as I would have expected, with significant effects that we will experience in our lifetime. It took one trip to make me realize we needed to start planning for the future now. We can’t keep putting off living more sustainably, and one country can’t do it alone.”

On the topic of the Challenge, she told us: “When I participated in the Nudge Global Impact Challenge, I remember listening intently to the speakers. Each one brought their own unique perspective and approach. It was inspiring to hear everyone’s individual story. At this year’s Challenge, I am looking forward to sharing my own experience on how participating in the Nudge Global Impact Challenge has shaped me professionally and personally.”
